Ultracor possess tooling capable of making honeycomb from any prepreg material in the following hexagonal cell sizes: 3/16”, 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2”, 5/8” and 1” and in the following sizes for UltraFlex: 1/4”, 3/8”, 3/4" and 1”. With investment in tooling, we can make custom sizes and cell shapes per our customer’s specifications.

Ultracor builds honeycomb blocks in dimensions that drive the most efficient use in our customers’ applications. There is no standard size block size at Ultracor. Please tell us what dimension will make your production most efficient. Please contact us for specific dimensional capabilities.

SLICE THICKNESS
Ultracor honeycomb typically is delivered to customers in horizontal sheets. The thickness of these sheets can be as low as 50 mil (1.2 mm) to as thick as a planarized block. The standard tolerance for honeycomb slices is ± 0.006" (0.152 mm). Further tolerance reduction can be achieved to as low as ± 0.002" (0.05 mm).
